Welcome to the Brunswick Junior Football Club

The club relies on the support of volunteers at all levels of the club throughout the season and during the off-season. Without volunteer inputs, the club simply could not operate.

Volunteering is easy, roles are well defined, the skill requirements for most roles are not especially demanding, and there is always someone around in the club who has done the job previously who can guide you through what is required. Jobs can be fun, volunteering is a great way to spend time with friends and make new ones, and it will add to your sense of well being, connectedness and raise your quality of life (according to research – see https://sydney.edu.au/news-opinion/news/2017/05/03/7-surprising-benefits-of-volunteering-.html).

And, of course, there is always scope for every job in the club to be done better or differently through the experience and skills of the huge untapped army of potential volunteers just waiting to share their talents for the benefit of the Dragons.

Dragons Committee roles of President, Vice President and Treasurer will be vacant at the end of this year.

New appointments to these roles, and new general committee members, will be elected at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM). The current Committee is requesting for Expressions of Interest for these roles in preparation for the AGM in November 2018.

These roles need to be filled for the junior club to continue to operate in 2019 and beyond.

Here is the Committee of Management and sub-committee structure for 2019. If you are interested in a copy of the job description for a particular role, please contact Melissa Seto for a copy.

Note that all volunteers at the club who are in regular contact with children are required under Victorian law to provide the club with details of their Working With Children Certificate (WWCC) and sign a Child Safety Code of Conduct. More details can be provided by our Child Safety Officers, John Deinenger and Sallie Ann Boyle.

If you are interested in joining the Dragons Committee of Management and would like to discuss any of these roles, please contact the current incumbents (Greg Banova president@brunswickjfc.org.au, Anthony Mcintosh and John Deinenger) or any of the current committee.
