Finally, the 2017 season begins. Footy, how good is it?
A lot of volunteers have put in an enormous amount of work to get us to this point:
15 teams; 278 players (243 boys; 35 girls) more than we have ever had!
And for every team we have coaches and assistant coaches; team managers; goal umpires; boundary umpires; time keepers; runners; trainers; water carriers; canteen helpers. All volunteers.
And an amazing committee helping to pull it all together, coordinating coaches, team managers, club umpires, doing the finances, the apparel, the canteen, equipment, registrations, communications, league liaison, social events, Auskick and school liaison, dealing with the Council, the senior club… the list goes on.
And its all for the kids, the girls and the boys, building their skills, their fitness, their love of the game, their friendships and their memories for life!
On behalf of the Dragons Committee, we wish all players, all teams, and all Dragons families and great first round and a fantastic season.
