YJFL Club Expectations and Fines

You may be aware that the YJFL levies fines for certain breaches by clubs. While this does not happen regularly it can happen at any time, and YJFL officials do visit our games. It is really about reinforcing the standard expected of clubs and parents who want to be part of the YJFL. As you can see from the list, there are several categories of fines. We have described them for you in terms of accountability, which is simply to say who can best help us to avoid such a fine. The first four are ones parents can help with, either directly (e.g. the coaches’ box is for coaches and interchange players only) or indirectly (e.g. by reminding your children to behave in that area).

Good practice can also help our volunteers; for instance, it is pretty hard to be an effective interchange steward if the coaches and interchange areas are filled with parents, uncles, in-laws, great aunts, nieces and dogs.
