U10 blacks faced off against Doncaster in an elimination final on Sunday. After two close clashes during the season, we weren’t expecting an easy game and it wasn’t. Doncaster started well but, as has been the case all year, the team fought hard to get back into the match. Scores were close all game and with the Dragons pressing hard in the last quarter, time ultimately ran out on what would have been another great comeback.
While the U10s didn’t win the game, and the coaches, support staff and supporters were all disappointed with the result on the day, we agreed that each and every player had given all they could on the day for their team and the Brunswick Dragons name. We also agreed that regardless of what was thrown at us on the day, we played in a manner that the club and our supporters could be proud of and we hope reflected well on the Brunswick Dragons collective spirit and sporting intent.
We know that the players learnt a lot from this year and welcome them back bigger and better next year. Go Dragons!
